This dress is one of our salvaged fashion pieces. The salvaged fashion pieces we make available for purchase, might have ended up in landfills or as "mitumba" across the globe. This destabilizes textile industries in non-western nations and hinders cultural realization (post-colonialism) because a lot of cultures use their textiles to communicate. Fabric is a form of nonverbal communication. So, we salvage various fashion pieces, repair and/ or redesign them and make them available in Western markets. This dress stretches well and was designed to celebrate curves. Rock it between fall and spring with everything from boots to your favorite sandals as it warms up. If you wear breast or waist beads, the back opening would allow you to share a view of your intimate beaded designs. Rock the dress with gold accessories. These are the measurements: the dress is 45 1/2" long from the shoulder to the base of the bottom hem. The bust area stretches from 18" to 26". The waist stretches from 36" to 44" while the hips stretch from 38" to 54". The dress has dual slits on either side that are 16" long. The neckline stretches from 7 1/2" to 12 1/2" horizontally. The sleeves, as measured from the shoulder, are 28" long. The upper arm stretches from 14" to 20" all around. The back belt is 27 1/2" on either side. The shoulders stretch from 17" to 26".
