You know, good southern values you pick up from your momma as a little girl. Though, through the years,she has pulled back on the reins and tucked that crazy in... well, as much as my roots will allow. ​ She was born and raised in Louisiana and haven't so much as moved an inch in almost 50 years. The delicate balance of grit and grace is grounding and inspires her at every turn. From the marshscape and its inhabitants to the native florals,she is obsessed with texture and finding the balance between "too much" and "juuuuust right". The artwork you see now is the product of many years of experimentation and passion for finding balance on the canvas and in life. ​ Robyn"s art is not subtle or restrained. It is thick, touchable, sculpted, painted, waxed, baked and slathered in gold. Teetering on the edge of that crazy I mentioned, but with familiar subjects, calming colors and clean borders.
