This is a wooden cooking spoon is called a mwiko (in Kenya) and it was hand carved by one of our suppliers in Kenya. It can be used as a pestle as well for crushing spices because of how heavy and full it is. It has some weight to it (0.4 lbs). This mwiko is 100% biodegradable and made of nothing but East African wood. It will easily blend into your kitchen aesthetic and contribute to endless dishes for no less than fifteen years. Make it yours today or gift it to a loved one. Measurements: 16" long and 4.5" at the widest point (cooking area), while the handle is 1" thick. The mwikos are a mix of black and brown tones.
